At Masterstaff healthcare we are dedicated to improving our quality and services to support our local community. We do this by reviewing our practice and asking others to review our service. We have just completed a set of surveys with our Home Care Workers about our services being: Safe, Well-led, Caring and Effective. We have then put together an action plan to make changes where needed and celebrate the good work done.
100% of our staff felt that they were trained and supported to deliver good end of life care.
100% of staff stated that they were trained to respect service users dignity, respect and promote their independence and supervised in core values of dignity, respect and privacy.
10% of staff felt they needed further training on the mental capacity Act 2005 – We have now integrated this into our Dementia and Safeguarding training sessions. Fact sheets have been given to all staff on mental capacity too.
88% of staff felt there was a knowledgeable senior available for on call – We have produced a training programme specifically for our senior staff to include further training and supervisions.
100% of staff felt they had access to clear policies and procedures for safe medication. but 15% felt that risk assessments were not available for people that self medicate. We have increased our staff knowledge on risk assessments through fact sheets, learning papers and we will be reviewing our support plans in ensure our risk assessments are clear.
15% of staff felt there was not a fair culture in the company – We are trying to reduce this through advertising our open door policy, we have set up weekly drop in sessions and advised all staff on the whistleblowing policy and procedure.
100% of staff feel that Managers communicate with all our clients and their advocates.
100% of staff felt that the Managers demonstrate positive behaviour and lead by example
32% of staff felt they were not aware of their employment rights. We have highlighted to staff the ACAS and Government websites for further information.
